An interesting 3 bed house in the heart of Ambleside

Mr Harvisons is a delightful townhouse in the heart of old Ambleside. It is perfectly located if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of a small town as it is only a two minute stroll from all the shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and outdoor shops for which Ambleside is renowned. Several walks are possible from the door step, up to Sweden Bridge or over to Wansfell via Stockghyll Force. Of course, Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, is just over half a mile away, a haven of all things water based and a delightful place to sit, relax, watch the world go by or jump on a ferry and see the rest of the lake.

A great advantage is that a parking permit is allocated for one vehicle with the cottage to use at any South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) car park in the area.

For those who wish to explore further afield, a bus stop is located in town. Buses are frequent and connect guests with the wider towns and outstanding scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving the car behind and jumping on a bus to explore the National Park not only helps to look after the spectacular landscape but also gives passengers the opportunity to see it without the challenge of negotiating narrow, and sometimes steep, country lanes or search for parking at your destination. By sitting back watching the landscape go by, the journey becomes part of your adventure!

This deceptively large property is set over three floors. There are two double bedrooms, both of which are en suite and a twin room.  In the separate family bathroom is a large freestanding bath.

The front entrance opens up into a fantastic open plan living-dining-kitchen space with the staircase taking you up to the first floor, for the first en suite double bedroom and the family bathroom.  From the first floor you can also access the back room, called The Bothy, which also provides access to the backdoor and a small outside seating area.  The Bothy also provides another quiet sitting room area.

Up onto the second floor there is another double en-suite bedroom with the twin bedroom across the landing.
