Booking

What time can we get into our cottage?

Check-in is from 4.00pm on your day of arrival and check-out is 10.00am. Our office team will contact you on the day if the cottage is ready any earlier.

Does my cottage have parking?

Most of our cottages have private parking with the cottage, but some are on street parking which isn’t allocated, again see individual cottage details for more information. You can also search for properties with private parking by selecting ‘Parking’ under ‘Facilities’ here.

Do I need to bring bedding and towels?

These are provided in all our cottages and will be made up ready for your arrival.

Is there a hairdryer in the cottage?

Yes, all our cottages have a least one hairdryer.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Please see our full terms and conditions for our cancellation policy. We will always endeavour to re-let your cancelled booking to provide a refund, or move the dates of your booking with enough prior notice. We recommend you have adequate holiday insurance to cover you against cancellation.

What if I have a problem when on holiday with you?

Our team of locals in the Elterwater office are on hand from 9.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday to help with any issues you have including maintenance. We also have an out of hours service available 7 days a week if you have an emergency. All our contact information can be found here.

Can I bring my dog on holiday?

Most of our cottages are pet friendly and we charge £15.00 per dog, per week for your dog. A small portfolio of our properties are completely pet free, see individual cottage information for details.

Can you recommend places to go and things to see?

Feel free to pop in the office during your stay, we have lots of information and happy to recommend local walks, our Wheelwrights Brochure has a full OS map of the local area on the back, handy to take with you!
