Little Nut Cottage is a charming, traditional semi-detached cottage, conveniently located in the idyllic village of Elterwater approximately one mile to Chapel Stile and four miles to Ambleside, offering guests easy access to a range of fantastic amenities and attractions. The cottage has been carefully restored by Interior designer Katharine Pooley to combine contemporary living with period features, creating a stylish but inviting ambience where you can unwind with your loved ones.

The cottage offers a delightful open-plan living space with dining area, posing a wonderful social space for all to gather each evening. Relax on the inviting sofa and admire the cosy wood burning stove resting in the characterful feature fireplace. The stylish kitchen offers a range cooker, dishwasher and modern appliances to make self-catering that bit more luxurious. There is a well-stocked larder cupboard ready for cooking or baking and separate utility area.

Walk upstairs to discover your delightful bedrooms made up of two equally impressive king-size rooms, one with its own en-suite bathroom and the other bedroom has the option of either a king-size bed or 2 individual twin beds, with a modern shower room adjacent. Both bedrooms share pleasant woodland views to wake up to each morning.

Little Nut Cottage also includes an outdoor space featuring a hot tub, barbeque grill, lounge sitting and dining area within a beautifully landscaped garden that compliments the surrounding views.

Little Nut Cottage has been renovated with all modern amenities, in the very popular and thriving village of Eltermere, near to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside.

The cottage is situated in a highly desirable position at the heart of the Lake District National Park and is perfectly placed to tour the famous lakes, traditional towns, villages and hamlets by car or foot. With so much natural beauty to be explored, there is something for everyone.

Head out to experience some of the country’s best walking trails, suitable for both the more experience nature lover or novices. For a more relaxing day, stroll to the Britannia pub at the heart of the village, the Langdale Hotel or the Eltermere Hotel for a drink and a bite to eat. Alternatively, take a beautiful two-mile walk-through open meadows, along Elterwater Lake and past the waterfall at Stockghyll Force to Chesters by the River, a popular, vegetarian café at Skelwith Bridge serving good wholesome food. Natural details are abound throughout the hallways of our luxury cottage. The soft whites and creams created a calming feel with natural materials and wood connecting the guests even further to the beauty of the landscape that surrounds the cottage.

The modern kitchen is fitted with a large range cooker and American style fridge where local delicacies can be savoured and enjoyed with those dearest to you.
Soft, organic tones create a harmonious and welcoming space that serves as a central point for guests to meet, plan and unwind both before and after the day’s activities.

Living Room
The living room of our luxury cottage epitomises the inspiration and history of the area and building.
The log fire is a focal point, where the popping and hissing of the wood will comfort and soothe our guests. Merging with the dining area allows a spacious area that invites friends and family to enjoy and the sharing of company, food and special moments.

Garden
Little Nut Cottage has a wonderful garden that has outdoor seating, a fire pit, hot tub, BBQ, and a dining area.

House Rules

• A damage deposit of £750 is required for this property, which will be taken just prior to checking in.
• Maximum of 4 guests, and no pets allowed in the property
• No shoes to be worn in the house – access using the side gate to the rear door and utility room to deal with wet clothes and muddy boots.  The Utility Room at the back of the property has washing facilities and hanging space to dry clothes.
• Please let our office know if you will require the hot tub.  This has to be cleaned and prepared for each booking, and there is a charge of £90 to cover this.

Our office is located a short distance from Little Nut and we are on hand to help you with anything you need during your stay.
