The ground floor has a spacious cottage style lounge with a fireplace featuring a gas fired wood effect stove, a newly refurbished kitchen and dining area with wine fridge, warming drawer, combi-microwave, full size oven, Washer/Dryer, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer.
The bedrooms are upstairs; a double en-suite, a twin and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

A private patio to the rear of the property is an ideal place to sit and enjoy the peace of the valley after a hard day’s walking. Parking is available locally via on street parking this is not designated.  The cottage has one parking permit which must be displayed when parking within the controlled zone area within the village.  Further parking is available outside the controlled zone or National Trust members can park for free in the National Trust Car Park in Elterwater beside the babbling beck.

Elterwater is one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District and the location of Pippins is right in the heart of the village.  The famous Britannia Inn is just a short stroll away from the front door and Slates Bistro is on the corner opposite Elterwater’s magnificent maple tree. For fine dining, the welcoming Eltermere Inn is a five minute walk away over the stone bridge that spans the River Brathay. Surrounded by extensive lawns framed with awe-inspiring views, the Eltermere Inn combines the highest standards of service, good food and informality.

For those who wish to explore further afield, a bus stop is located opposite the Britannia Inn. Buses are frequent and connect guests with the wider towns and outstanding scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving the car behind and jumping on a bus to explore the National Park not only helps to look after the spectacular landscape but also gives passengers the opportunity to see it without the challenge of negotiating narrow, and sometimes steep, country lanes or search for parking at your destination. By sitting back watching the landscape go by, the journey becomes part of your adventure!
