This fabulous house has been bought and renovated by the owners of Lowfield House, and they have given it the same luxury treatment. With a fantastic range of facilities, located close to the Three Shires Inn, with wonderful views towards Wetherlam, Swirl Howe and Tilberthwaite, which can be enjoyed from the open plan living room, or through the bifold doors onto both the balcony and the terrace.
The owners signature squirrel sculpture in evidence once again, this time raising a jug towards The Three Shires, providing a little hint of what’s to come. There is parking for two cars, with a free EV charging point. The two large doors where the garage used to be, open onto quite a treat – one accesses what amounts to a professional dog washing facility and bike storage, along with a sauna, and the other provides access to the cinema room, with a huge wall mounted screen and banquet seating, with a table top games console.
Through the main door, and your four legged friends have their own “Dog Hotel”; underfloor hideaway with subtle lighting and dog beds (once they have been pampered in the dog wash of course). Off the main hallway is also the well fitted kitchen and dining area which opens out onto the terrace to enjoy the best of all weathers and the views.
On the main floor is the large open plan living room with bi-fold doors onto the balcony, a bio-ethanol feature central fire, comfortable seating for everyone, and another large wall mounted smart TV (75″). The family bathroom is also on this same level, as well as the two main ensuite bedrooms. A short flight of stairs leads up to the top front bedroom with south facing views from the dormer window, and fitted furniture.
The outside space is the balcony from the living room, or the south facing terrace from the kitchen-dining room with outside seating to enjoy the sunnier days.

Tucked away between the larger Langdale and Coniston valleys, Little Langdale is a peaceful and enchanting hamlet surrounded by some of the Lake District’s most beautiful and lesser-visited scenery. The area is known for its unspoilt charm, historic packhorse bridges, and easy access to both gentle walks and more adventurous fell routes.
Little Langdale is accessible by car from Ambleside via the A593 and a scenic single-track lane, or on foot from Elterwater or Tilberthwaite. The nearest train station is at Windermere, about 10 miles away, with bus and taxi connections available as far as Elterwater.
Highlights here include the picturesque Slater’s Bridge, a 17th-century packhorse bridge across the River Brathay, and the atmospheric Cathedral Cave, a vast former slate quarry. The quiet lanes and paths are ideal for walking and cycling, and the views towards Wetherlam and the Langdale Pikes are unforgettable.
With its tranquil setting, historic features, and connection to the wider Langdale and Coniston areas, Little Langdale is perfect for those seeking a quieter, more secluded corner of the Lake District while still being within easy reach of nearby villages and sights.
