Meadowbank Lodge is a detached granary conversion of traditional stone, tucked away in a quiet corner of the village. It retains much of its character with wooden beams, stone fireplace with wood burning stove and gas central heating.
There is room to park one car off the road, and wifi has been installed.
The cottage has a south facing secluded walled garden complete with patio table and chairs enjoying a delightful outlook across the open meadow with fell views. There is a private parking area in the garden for one car. A large adjoining outbuilding makes an excellent storage area for cycles and contains an undercover decked area with patio furniture and plants, an ideal spot to see the setting sun beyond the fells. The front entrance has a flagged floor leading to the kitchen which has electric cooker microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, and dining area. The lounge has television, DVD and music centre, and is open plan to the kitchen.
There are two bedrooms, each with radiator, one with double bed and pleasing outlook towards the Kentmere Valley, the second has two single beds. The bathroom has toilet, washbasin, and electric shower over bath.
The peaceful village of Staveley, near Windermere, has old world Lakeland charm. It has several shops including butcher, baker, grocer, chemist. newsagent, also the well known Wilf`s cafe, next door to the Hawkshead Brewery, bar and music venue. The village has two pubs including the award winning ever popular Eagle and Child with its excellent range of quality meals and riverside seating area. Both pubs and a large childrens` adventure playground are within three minutes walk from the cottage. This cottage is within easy reach of Windermere.
