This imposing traditional property in Chapel Stile sleeps up to 10 over four floors (options include 8-10 by arrangement )
Said to be the local quarry owners house when it was built in early 1900 in the finest local stone, it rises up four stories on the south side – the tallest house at this end of the valley.
South View is in the centre of the village perched beneath the Parish Church with the main elevation facing south, looking out over Chapel Stile towards the old slate quarry workings and Lingmoor Fell. In the summer months you can relax in the garden and soak up the sun, and take your meals outside. In the winter months, you can enjoy the views from inside with the added comfort of both the solid fuel stove or a wood burning stove.
There are six bedrooms, sleeping up to 10, with four of the bedrooms south facing offering fantastic views, especially from the attic rooms. Ample space for two families to stay with grandparents or friends, with excellent facilities including 3 bath/shower rooms.
There is room for one well behaved dog, restricted to the kitchen and dining room, and an area to hang coats and pile up those boots!
A short walk to the Chapel Stile Co-op for any supplies, and the Brambles Café, and a little further to the Wainwright Inn with a good selection of local ales.
