This traditional Lakeland home for six people, has a separate living room and dining room and two well appointed bath and shower rooms. The well-equipped kitchen will enable you to cater easily for the family, the dining room has multi-fuel burner to gather round in the cooler evenings. To the rear there is a small conservatory where you can sit and enjoy a coffee while reading the paper or a good book. Delightfully furnished with well chosen personal touches to create a relaxing feel, Kentdale provides a real haven and is the perfect venue for an unforgettable holiday. Off road parking for one car and a permit for the street providing parking for 2 cars, within 100 yds of the village centre in a quiet area, with great access.
Ideally situated on a quiet road close to the centre of Ambleside, Kentdale offers guests a charming cottage of Lakeland stone, with excellent facilities. Ambleside is an excellent location, not just for keen walkers but also for those who enjoy restaurants, bars and cafés, browsing around the shops or a variety of gentle strolls to Windermere lakeshore or alongside Rydal Water to Grasmere. There are numerous hikes and shorter walks directly from the house, not requiring a car.

Situated at the northern end of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside is a vibrant and picturesque town that makes an excellent base for exploring the central Lake District. Its charming streets are filled with independent shops, cosy cafés, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants, all set against the stunning backdrop of the surrounding fells.
For visitors arriving by car, Ambleside is easily reached via the M6 motorway, leaving at Junction 36 and following the A590 and A591 directly into the heart of the Lakes. If travelling by train, the nearest mainline station is at Windermere, just over 4 miles away, with regular bus and taxi connections into town.
Once in Ambleside, you can enjoy cruises and boat trips on Lake Windermere from Waterhead Pier or relax by the lakeshore park and beach. A short woodland walk leads to the striking Stock Ghyll Force waterfall, while in the centre of town you’ll find the iconic 17th-century Bridge House – one of the smallest and most photographed buildings in the Lakes.
