This outstanding contemporary property was recently given a luxurious makeover and is available year round for families or groups up to ten. It has been thoughtfully fitted out with everything needed for a relaxing home from home in the Lake District. Located in a tranquil part of Ambleside, Sweden Close is just a five min walk away from the hustle and bustle and all that this lively town has to offer.
Built on one level, this stylish property has a short flight of steps to the front door from the car park area which has ample parking space for up to four cars. Beside the ornamental pond is a side gate giving access to the terrace and gardens behind the house.
Sweden Close boasts well fitted en-suite bathrooms for both of the kingsize bedrooms and the generous master suite with super king size bed and seating area. The two twins share a family bathroom. The twins have zip and link beds so can be put together on request to make super kings. Please let us know at the time of booking.
Each bedroom and the spacious open plan living-dining-kitchen room have floor to ceiling windows making the interior space bright and airy, allowing guests to view the extensive, mature gardens, garden terrace and distant views of Windermere. The well-fitted kitchen is designed around the kitchen island with bar stools making it an ideal place to socialise and chat after a day out exploring. Large sliding glass doors open out onto the terrace with outside seating. In the living-dining area there is ample seating around the long dining table for everyone to chat and catch up over a home-made, or brought in, meal. Sweden Close offers stylish space – enough for the whole family or group to unwind. In addition there is a separate games room / snug for some uninterrupted gaming or just to be still and read a book.
The outside terraced area has comfortable seating to enjoy the sun long into summer evenings and further seating in the raised area of the gardens behind the house. The south facing gardens have well established, mature planting courtesy of the former owner who was the founder of Hayes Garden Centre in Ambleside. They provide a picturesque retreat.
Heading for the hills? Fairfield Horseshoe is on the doorstep, to name just one nearby fell in the Lake District National Park. And after arrival, there is little need for the car. The local bus routes visit most of the popular destinations if you want to venture further afield without the inconvenience of negotiating narrow country lanes or finding a parking space.
Please note: booking this property requires a damage deposit of £1000 which will be taken just prior to arrival.
