Sweden Close is a luxury property available from June 2021 onwards following a full renovation.

Sweden Close is in a lovely quite part of Ambleside,  the property was an award winning design of its time in the 1960’s and has undergone a complete remodelling to launch ready for the 2021 summer season.

Beautifully fitted out with everything you will need for families or groups up to 10, with 3 double ensuite rooms (the master bedroom has a super-king size bed, and the other two double rooms fitted with kingsize beds), and two twin/double rooms (zip and link options – please confirm when booking) with a family bathroom. The large open plan living/dining/kitchen room with floor to ceiling windows have views out across the garden and distant views of Windermere. The kitchen is fitted out with; 2 ovens, a steam oven, 2 warming drawers, full-size fridge and seperate under-counter freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and nespresso coffee machine (vertuo capsules).

The outside terraced area has comfortable seating to enjoy summer evenings,  and further seating in the raised area of the gardens behind the house. The gardens provide a lovely quiet retreat, with mature planting, care of the former owner who was the founder of Hayes Garden Centre in Ambleside. The gardens are south facing and capture the sun long into the evening.  Included in the garden is a gas BBQ.

To the front, the drive has sufficient parking for 3 to 4 cars, and an ornamental pond, and at night the outside lighting provides a welcome feel with the illusion of the house floating above the ground.

Close to Ambleside, within easy walking distance of the centre (even closer to the Golden Rule, or indeed Garside’s Butchers on North Road for a pie fix) Sweden Close is only 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle with all that this lovely town has to offer.  Heading for the hills and you will find the Fairfield Horseshoe on the doorstep, to name just one – no need for the car unless you want to venture further afield to Keswick (the Lakes Distillery is highly recommended).
