Lingmoor Cottage (Number 2. Plumblands) is a charming property situated in Chapel Stile in the Langdale Valley, just recently renovated to a very high standard. Stunning views from the house with a seating area in the garden looking over Lingmoor – perfect for a refreshing drink on the terrace at the end of the day!
The cottage sleeps six and has a wonderful open plan living room with log burner, dining area and kitchen with oak fittings and flooring. A ground floor double room and shower room opposite make a great addition to making all facilities accessible on a ground floor level. A second double room and family bathroom with bath and separate shower on the first floor, leading to a twin room on the second floor. All the bedrooms face the back of the cottage away from the roadside, with beautiful views of the valley in every season, Lingmoor and surrounding fells. Underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump provides a comfortable ambient temperature all year round. A patio area leads off from the living room, with French doors from the kitchen too. Outdoor furniture allows guests to enjoy a comfortable alfresco meal. There is a gas BBQ provided for your use at the property with utensils provided in the lower cupboard. Steps down lead into a pretty terraced garden.
The heart of the village is just a short stroll away where guests can find the well stocked local convenience store; the Langdale Coop, Brambles Cafe, the welcoming village Church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity and Wainwrights Inn which sells locally brewed ales and provides quality homemade food.
The famous climbers inn The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel and Stickle Barn Tavern are just up the Langdale Valley.
The popular village of Elterwater is also within walking distance where guests will find The Britannia Inn and Slates Cafe opposite the magnificent maple tree. Fine dining is available from a delicious menu at the welcoming Eltermere Inn Country Hotel. Lanty Slees is located on the road from Elterwater to Grasmere.
