This lovely family home is located right on the edge of Chapel Stile, close to the Wainwright Inn, and next to Walthwaite meadow with lovely views from the back up to Megs Ghyll and Silver Howe, and from the front towards Lingmoor Fell.
Accessed through a gate from the main Langdale Road, the garden is fully enclosed with hedging, providing a lovely private garden area with lawns and borders. There is a utility area on the ground floor with a washing machine and tumble drier, for storage of bikes or other equipment, with parking in front of the house for up to three cars. At the back of the house there is a sheltered porch area.
On the ground floor, the cottage has a separate living room, kitchen/dining room, double room, family bathroom and another separate WC and hand basin next to the utility room. Upstairs there are the two other bedrooms (twin and kingsize), and a toilet with hand basin.
Chapel Stile is in the heart of Langdale, with the Wainwright Inn, and a well stocked local Co op store and post office. A short walk to Elterwater, with the lovely Britannia Inn, Slates Cafe, and the Eltermere Country House Hotel for Sunday lunches and fantastic dining. Also well worth a visit is Lanty Slees overlooking Elterwater Common.

Located in the beautiful Langdale Valley, Chapel Stile is a small, peaceful village surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the Lake District. The towering Langdale Pikes, lush woodlands and crystal-clear rivers make this a favourite area for walkers, climbers and those seeking a quieter base close to the busier towns.
Chapel Stile is just a short drive from Ambleside and Grasmere and easily reached via the A593 from Ambleside. The nearest train station is at Windermere, around 8 miles away, with regular buses connecting to the Langdale Valley.
Once here, you can enjoy fantastic walking right from your door, with routes ranging from riverside strolls along Great Langdale Beck to challenging hikes up to the Pikes. The village itself has a welcoming pub, a well-stocked shop, and a lovely old church, with the valley offering plenty of opportunities for photography and picnics.
