Overview

Bridge End Cottage, Elterwater

This is wonderful new addition to our portfolio we’re excited to share with you.

This charming cottage is a landmark property in Elterwater, facing you, as you approach the bridge.

There is ample space for parking, secure storage for bikes as well as EV chargers for both.  The covered outside seating area with woodburning stove, electric radiant heating and pretty fairy lights is a real talking point and a wonderful spot to enjoy and evening glass of fizz.  Carry on up the steps and you’ll find a secluded garden terrace with summer house.

You enter the cottage from the parking area at the side into a well fitted kitchen, boasting traditional Lakeland flooring and granite worktops.  There is a large oak kitchen table with an antique settle providing ample space and comfort for long lazy mealtimes. The cosy sitting room with original oak beams and wood burning stove is the perfect spot to relax and unwind and the end of the day.

Upstairs, there are three good sized bedrooms, all with traditional king-sized brass beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite with walk in shower. The luxurious family bathroom boasts underfloor heating with a free-standing bath and large walk in shower.

Elterwater is one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District and the location of Bridge End puts you close to the heart of the village.  The famous Britannia Inn and Slates Bistro, opposite Elterwater’s magnificent maple tree are a short stroll from the front door. The Eltermere Inn also serves food to non residents and is definatley worth a visit to see the peacocks that roam freely in the garden. The white peacock is a special treat to see.

Bridge End is a charming, traditional style Lakeland cottage, renovated to a high standard. The stairs are steep and there are some uneven floors.  One well behaved dog is welcome.
