If you don’t feel like cooking, why not take a two minute stroll to your local Wainwrights pub in Chapel Stile? A short 10 minute walk by the river will lead you to Elterwater village where the Brittania pub serves some great food. If you want to stretch your legs a little further there is a great walk up the Valley past Bays Brown campsite which will lead you to Great Langdale. Fantastic scenery of the Langdale Pikes surrounding the valley and not 1 but 2 great pubs to visit at the end of your walk to stop and have a refreshment before continuing. Stickle Barn and New Dungeon Gill are both great places to stop and have a rest.
There is private parking for one car and a private entrance and porch to this single-level accommodation. The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room is an array of windows and views. The lounge is beautifully presented with leather sofa, wood-burning stove and TV/DVD. The modern kitchen is well equipped and open to the dining area. Two bedrooms; 1 x king-size bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower room. 1 x super king bedroom with a zip and link bed which can be made into a twin bedroom – please specify if you require twin beds when booking. There is also a separate bathroom with shower over bath.

Located in the beautiful Langdale Valley, Chapel Stile is a small, peaceful village surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the Lake District. The towering Langdale Pikes, lush woodlands and crystal-clear rivers make this a favourite area for walkers, climbers and those seeking a quieter base close to the busier towns.
Chapel Stile is just a short drive from Ambleside and Grasmere and easily reached via the A593 from Ambleside. The nearest train station is at Windermere, around 8 miles away, with regular buses connecting to the Langdale Valley.
Once here, you can enjoy fantastic walking right from your door, with routes ranging from riverside strolls along Great Langdale Beck to challenging hikes up to the Pikes. The village itself has a welcoming pub, a well-stocked shop, and a lovely old church, with the valley offering plenty of opportunities for photography and picnics.
