This ground floor retreat is a place to spend precious time together and an outstanding base for walkers. Langdale Retreat forms part of a larger property which enjoys a slightly elevated setting in the quiet village of Chapel Stile.
The open plan living area and two bathrooms provide ample space for sharing couples to spread out and relax. Prepare sociable evenings in the large kitchen, head out into the hills from the doorstep, and make the most of your excellent local pub on the way home! On warmer days, you’ll love taking drinks and meals outside to the scenic sun terrace.
There is private parking for one car. Entrance porch to the open plan living space with full wall window opening out to the furnished sun terrace. Sitting area with wood-burning stove, comfortable sofas, perfect for a relaxing night in front of the TV/DVD . The modern kitchen / dining area has an electric oven, halogen hob and dishwasher. On the ground floor is a king-size bedroom with luxury en-suite facility. Upstairs is the 2nd king-size bedroom also with its own bathroom.

Located in the beautiful Langdale Valley, Chapel Stile is a small, peaceful village surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the Lake District. The towering Langdale Pikes, lush woodlands and crystal-clear rivers make this a favourite area for walkers, climbers and those seeking a quieter base close to the busier towns.
Chapel Stile is just a short drive from Ambleside and Grasmere and easily reached via the A593 from Ambleside. The nearest train station is at Windermere, around 8 miles away, with regular buses connecting to the Langdale Valley.
Once here, you can enjoy fantastic walking right from your door, with routes ranging from riverside strolls along Great Langdale Beck to challenging hikes up to the Pikes. The village itself has a welcoming pub, a well-stocked shop, and a lovely old church, with the valley offering plenty of opportunities for photography and picnics.
