Nestled in the pretty Langdale hamlet of Chapel Stile, this 17th century Lakeland cottage offers walks in abundance from its doorstep. This peaceful cottage sleeps up to four guests and promises fire-side warmth in winter, outside seating for summery days and a traditional local pub nearby in which to relax after those hard days on the fells.

Ann’s Cottage has undergone a significant refurbishment, but combined its traditional features such as exposed ceiling beams, thick walls, vaulted ceiling and picturesque windows with modern features including a log burner in the main living room.

The entrance leads into a light, airy kitchen with a long window and velux window. It is well-equipped for self catering for up to four guests. Adjacent to the kitchen is the warm but bright lounge/dining room with stylish glass table, deep-cushioned furnishings and wood burning stove.
Also on the ground floor is the twin bedroom and shared bathroom with walk-in shower.
The inner hallway leads to a staircase rising to a boutique-style double bedroom with vaulted ceiling and velux windows giving a very airy feel to the room. There is a brass bed and feature brass chandelier together with a more contemporary wood-burner.
To the rear of the property is a terraced balcony which also gives access to a large bike store and utility room.
Parking is available on the lane just down the hill from the cottage.

The heart of the village is just a short stroll away where guests can find the well stocked local convenience store -the Langdale Coop, Brambles Cafe, the village church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity and Wainwrights Inn which sells locally brewed ales and provides good homemade food. The famous climbers’ inn The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel and Stickle Barn Tavern are just up the breathtakingly beautiful Langdale Valley.
The property is on a main bus route with a stop just across the road. Elterwater, the famous Britannia Inn, Slates Bistro and the welcoming Eltermere Inn are a short stroll away with a fabulous walk along the river. The cottage is also handily placed to access the Langdale Valley, four miles from Ambleside and close to neighbouring villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead.
