Overview

Cherry Tree Cottage, Chapel Stile

Cherry Tree Cottage is a wonderful surprise.  A small traditional stone Lakeland end terrace in the heart of the Langdale village of Chapel Stile is not far from the welcoming Holy Trinity Church built in 1851. The church is home to the much admired Millennium Tapestry depicting the history of Langdale.

The cottage has been completely remodelled inside to provide a modern cosy two bedroom hideaway over three floors.  The top loft bedroom provides stunning views towards Lingmoor from the low velux window.

This cosy retreat has ample space and is a master class in space saving and design.

The front door opens into a spacious open plan living-dining-kitchen space, tastefully furnished, and very well equipped.  Relax in clean simple furnishings  in front of a mesmerising log burner.  The stairs lead up to the first floor where the first double bedroom is tucked away at the front, and the shower room and toilet at the back.  The stairs lead up again to the next floor revealing the double loft bedroom with large Velux windows front and back.

Although the property has two bedrooms with double beds, we are listing it as sleeping two, making it perfect for a couple or for two people wanting separate rooms. The size and layout of the property makes it unsuitable for pets or young children, but please call us to discuss.

There is also an outside secure storage area for storing mountain bikes or other equipment.

For those who wish to explore further afield, a bus stop is located opposite the Co-op in the centre of the village. Buses are frequent and connect guests with the wider towns and outstanding scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving the car behind and jumping on a bus to explore the National Park not only helps to look after the spectacular landscape but also gives passengers the opportunity to see it without the challenge of negotiating narrow, and sometimes steep, country lanes or search for parking at your destination. By sitting back watching the landscape go by, the journey becomes part of your adventure!
