Based in the middle of Elterwater, which in our opinion is the heart of the Lake District. Langdale is home to some of the most dramatic hills.

Bottom Shop is a beautifully presented cosy retreat in which to base yourself for a stay in Langdale, home to some of the most dramatic hills. A convenient location to explore the area combined with a relaxing space in which to snuggle up in front of the wood burner, makes this property hard to better.
This traditional mid terrace Lakeland cottage is all on one level and has been carefully renovated by the owners, who have thought of everything you will need for a relaxing self catering holiday in our heartland; a well equipped kitchen, smart TVs in the open plan living room and master bedroom, electric heating to enable guests to enjoy the cottage year round and a wood burner for that cosy feel. The single and double bedroom share the separate walk in shower room with wash hand basin and WC and both bedrooms have new comfortable beds – to help you relax and unwind during your stay in the English Lake District.
Outside you can enjoy the back terrace and garden area from inside looking through large picture window/French doors, or outside on the terrace with a warm drink or a glass of wine.
Elterwater is the gateway to Langdale with wonderful walking and breath-taking scenery. A local family friendly pub (the Britannia Inn) is almost on the doorstep, a well stocked local shop (the Co-op) is nearby in Chapel Stile and The Eltermere Inn is a short walk away, if a more formal fine dining evening tickles your fancy.
For those who wish to explore further afield and would prefer to leave the car at home, a bus stop can be found opposite the Britannia Inn.
