This is wonderful new addition to our portfolio we’re excited to share with you.
Bridge End Cottage keeps revealing itself as you explore the outside, with the covered outside seating with wood-burning stove and electric radiant heating, and then up the steps to the back of the property and the secluded garden terrace with summer house. Inside the cottage, you enter from the parking area at the side into a well fitted kitchen, farmhouse style kitchen table for dining, and on into the living room – with stripped beams, country style latched doors and wood burning stove, there is a lovely cozy feel to this cottage which provides a perfect place to escape and relax. This is a traditional style Lakeland cottage, newly renovated to a high standard, with steep stairs and some uneven floors. One well behaved dog is welcome.
There are three good sized bedrooms with brass framed king sized beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite with a walk in shower. The luxurious family bathroom boasts underfloor heating with a free standing bath as well as large walk in shower.
Elterwater is a fabulous location to base yourself in to explore the Langdale valley, which in our probably slightly biased opinion (this is where our office is located) is the best of the Lake District with all the lumpy drama of the Langdale Pikes and Scarfell.
Local attractions aside, the Britannia Inn is a fantastic traditional pub with a great range of local ales and plenty of outside seating. In addition to this, the Slates diner has a great menu including pizzas, light bites, cakes and coffee and ice-cream for warmer days. The Eltermere Inn offers a range of fine dining or a traditional bar menu and well worth the treat. A little further afield is the Wainwright Inn in Chapel Style and the Lanty Slees cocktail bar overlooking Elterwater Common.
With a huge range of walks straight from the doorstep, you’ll be able to park up, ignore the car and revel in the landscape from the comfort of this traditional lakeland cottage.
