Bridge Syke Cottage
Sleeps 4 – 2 double rooms with a family bathroom
Bridge Syke Cottage is located on the river side in Elterwater – the middle property of this terrace of slate stone cottages overlooking the Brathay in Elterwater, the cottage benefits from an outside seating area to the front which is south facing, which makes the most of this lovely riverside location.
The cottage is a 2 bed property with everything you need for a cosy stay in the heart of the Lake District – a well-appointed kitchen, living area with open fire, and two double rooms upstairs with a bright family bathroom.
Elterwater is in our opinion the most beautiful village in the South Lakes area, and a fantastic base to explore the Langdale area which has some of the most stunning scenery and challenging hills in the Lakes. The Britannia Inn is only a few steps away, with a great menu and a fantastic range of beers. The Elterwater Café has a extensive menu from sandwiches to a full cooked breakfast, and if you want to spoil yourself, dinner at the Eltermere Inn is highly recommended.
Enjoy the village, and explore the surrounding hills from the Langdale Pikes to Scarfell and the local attractions of Slaters Bridge and Cathedral Cavern, or a riverside walk to Skelwith Bridge rewarded by cake or something more substantial at Chesters.
A permit is in the cottage to park for free in the National Trust Car Park located across the road from the cottage. If you are National Trust Members you can also park here for free!
