Fell View Retreat is a restful first floor apartment with stunning views and sunsets over Ambleside to Loughrigg and the Fairfield Horseshoe from both the lounge and the bedroom. The south west facing balcony has a table and seating for four as well as a reclining outdoor chair offering a relaxing space to unwind.

The bright and spacious apartment is all on one level, in an enviable elevated position and is accessed by either the lift or staircase. The apartment offers an entrance hall with a panelled coat cupboard, a superb open plan living space with plenty of room to enjoy the views in all seasons. A spacious bedroom offers a Super King size bed with luxurious panelling, soft lighting behind and quality bed linen. The black-out lined curtains ensure a good night’s sleep. The bedroom has luggage storage, a wardrobe and dressing table with drawers. The generous four-piece bathroom adds another touch of luxury to this modern apartment with a bath, separate shower enclosure and heated towel rail. Fluffy white towels are provided for your stay.

The fully equipped kitchen has a built-in oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washer/drier and Nespresso coffee machine. A generous oak breakfast and dining bar with comfortable stools provides a great location to enjoy the view whilst dining.

Relax in the cosy lounge on two comfortable sofas, a flame effect electric wood burner and smart TV on a hinged bracket for easy viewing. Another glazed door leads off the lounge to the balcony to make the most of those impressive views.

Just a few minutes down a steep footpath or steps is the heart of Ambleside with a wide choice of restaurants to suit all tastes, bars, take-aways and cafes as well as many recognised high street shops. Ambleside also has cinemas, mini-golf and tennis courts as well as the Rothay Park Park Run every Saturday, making this an ideal base for Park Run Tourism.

With a designated, private, off-street car parking space there is no need to drive when staying at Fell View Retreat as there are also many renowned walks from the door. For example, Lake Windermere is just a ten minute stroll away and the Lakes of Rydal and Grasmere are also easily accessible along a flat footpath, as well as the beautiful Kirkstone Pass with spectacular views from the summits. There are also numerous activities to fill your days – Ambleside is close to boat trips, National Trust properties and there is easy access to Coniston, Keswick, Langdale to name but a few.

The property also benefits from an internal secure bike store cupboard.

Ambleside Holiday Cottages

Situated at the northern end of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside is a vibrant and picturesque town that makes an excellent base for exploring the central Lake District. Its charming streets are filled with independent shops, cosy cafés, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants, all set against the stunning backdrop of the surrounding fells.

For visitors arriving by car, Ambleside is easily reached via the M6 motorway, leaving at Junction 36 and following the A590 and A591 directly into the heart of the Lakes. If travelling by train, the nearest mainline station is at Windermere, just over 4 miles away, with regular bus and taxi connections into town.

Once in Ambleside, you can enjoy cruises and boat trips on Lake Windermere from Waterhead Pier or relax by the lakeshore park and beach. A short woodland walk leads to the striking Stock Ghyll Force waterfall, while in the centre of town you’ll find the iconic 17th-century Bridge House – one of the smallest and most photographed buildings in the Lakes.
